The first part of the book contains an alphabetical glossary on the theory of microlight flying that will be a great help for those needing to bridge the 'jargon gap' of flying theory. The second and third parts of the book concentrate on the practical side of learning to fly a microlight: one section on 3-axis aircraft and the other on weight-shift aircraft. Exercises 1 through to 18 are explained in a simple and plain manner, following the microlight training syllabus, letting you know what to expect in your microlight training course. The fourth part of the book looks at common problems encountered in microlight training, and gives sample theory exam questions.
Illustrated with many explanatory drawings in full colour, the A-Z of Microlighting is a must for every student pilot and the seasoned microlight flyer.
Air Law for Microlight Pilots is the first book to deal specifically with Air Law as it relates to pilots of microlights, gliders, balloons, paramotors, gyrocopters and other sport aviation pilots. Designed to enable to user to pass the relevant UK Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or National Private Pilot Licence (NPPL) air law examination, it will be equally invaluable for the qualified pilot seeking to update his or her knowledge of aviation law, flight rules and procedures. This book sets out to detail those parts of Aviation Law which are relevant to sports aviation (recreational) pilots, focusing in particular on microlight pilots where powered aircraft are concerned, explaining the detail of the subject in a commonsense way designed to help the reader learn.
Comprehensive, readable and illustrated throughout (including a full colour section), this book will become the standard reference for sports aviation law. It also includes comprehensive progress and revision questions and answers to help the reader consolidate his or her knowledge.

This logbook, by Sport Pilot expert Paul Hamilton, is designed specifically for all Sport Pilots who fly ultralights and light-sport aircraft, including hang gliders, paragliders, powered parachutes, trikes (weight-shift control), and fixed wing (three-axis control) aircraft. The simple layout and design provides room for pilots to document preparations, flight conditions, and flight analysis. It meets all recordkeeping requirements, and is effective for both sport pilots and instructors.
Using this logbook, pilots are encouraged to weigh capabilities and aircraft limitations against weather in the ultimate decision of whether to fly. This logbook will help you learn to forecast and interpret weather information accurately from the notes you record in it tracking your flight history and educating yourself for future flights by having a handy reference to past conditions and the quality of the flight experienced. Without adding work on top of normal recordkeeping, these logbook notes help you develop a clear mental picture of the conditions affecting flight and help you see trends you might not otherwise see without the documentation so you "get smarter each time they fly.

The new Aspen from Rapid Eyewear’s Alpine range is a practical and uber-cool pair of sunglasses that are fashionable yet practical for para-gliding and hang-gliding as well as winter sports. The Aspen from Rapid Eyewear feature some great lens technology, as well as excellent wind and ice blockage, plus secure fixing by way of an included head strap. Remove the strap and rubber wind shields, and you have a pair of sport sunglasses that can be used in any situation.
THE FRAMES
Like all good quality sport sunglasses, the Aspen frames have a slight flex that enables them to fit comfortable around most sizes of head, without pinching; and yet, they won’t feel like they are about to fall off, either. The frame is made from TR90, an incredibly strong material that’s superior to polycarbonate, and will ensure the glasses cannot shatter in the event of an accident. Finished in an attractive green / grey matt colour, the frames benefit from rubber side-arm extensions and nose pad inserts that help to provide maximum comfort levels. A pronounced ridge inside the lenses virtually eliminates unwanted wind and light intrusion all the way around your vision.
THE LENSES
In line with the other sunglasses in the Rapid Eyewear Alpine range, the Aspen feature Frostech anti-fog and anti-glare lenses. However, in addition, they feature a blue tinted Category 3 lens, which has the added benefit of filtering out 97% of infra-red rays whilst achieving superb definition in their field of view.
UV PROTECTION AND CONFORMITY
As with all Rapid Eyewear sunglasses, the Aspen offer 100% UVA / UVB protection and conform to EN 1836 and US Z80.3 standards for safety eyewear.
RUBBER INSERTS AND STRAP – EXTREME SPORT MODE
It’s easy to change the Aspen from a fashion item into a great spec pair of sport sunglasses. All you need to do is add the rubber inserts, which maximise wind and snow blockage from the peripherals of your vision, then attach the push-fit head strap. Put them on, adjust the strap by pulling the toggle at the back and you’re ready to go. Rapid Eyewear's Frostech lens, featuring titanium layers and a blue mirror finish, reduces 97% of infra red rays, making Aspen ideal for climbing and skiing at altitude, not to mention use when paragliding and hang-gliding. Aspen are the perfect 'glacier glasses'.
POUCH
Each pair of Aspen comes with a microfibre carry pouch as standard. The pouch, which has draw-strings, doubles as a lint-free cleaning cloth.
